Shatta Movement CEO Charles Nii Armah Mensah popularly known as Shatta Wale, in a recent tweet has thrown some sort of advice and jab to Ghanaian music video directors to stop copying projects of their Nigerian counterparts and be creative.
According to the Gringo hitmaker, Shatta Wale seems to have problems with the way Ghanaian music video directors are not being creative and not projecting the cultures of the Country.
Even though one could tell how Ghanaian video directors are doing well with the likes of Yaw Skyface, Xbills Ebenezer, Lex McCarthy, Prince Dovlo, Abass, KP Selorm, Esianyo Kumodzi, Babs Direction, Rex, Mickey Johnson, Salifu Abdul Hafiz just to mention a few; are doing well with their projects. We don’t know the level of creativity Shatta Wale seeks from them.
We can’t tell if that’s why he has opted for Nigerian video director Sesan in the shooting of his Gringo, Amount and My level videos.
Check his tweet below :
Ghana music video directors should stop copying naija videos and be creative cuz Nigerians are far gone ,so let’s try and portray our culture small ..it’s about being creative ..we are too lazy in creating ..Let’s be serious aaahhh ba !!!
